Hello there!

Please allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Steve... Steve Trolley... and, in case you hadn't worked it out by now, I am a shopping trolley. Yes, that's right... a shopping trolley that talks! (And, if that wasn't enough to stop you in your tracks, I write books too, but more of that later.)

Where was I?

Oh yes, introducing myself.

Well, what is there to say? I'm handsome, though I say it myself, and now apparently I've got a bit of a reputation for 'telling all'.

You see, I decided to write my life story... to tell the world what I get up to when the humans aren't looking. Well, who'd have guessed that my story would have become so popular! Now I am probably the most famous shopping trolley in the world!

I won't let the fame go to my head though, I promise.

So, what else would you like to know?

I am one of many tens of thousands of shopping trolleys that get up to all sorts of things when the humans aren't lookinig. It's not that we're not happy to serve our owners and work hard when it's needed, but there has to be more to life than that, doesn't there?

Yes, we thought so too! And we made sure that we found it!

My life story tells you of my adventures out in the big, wide world... by myself. Not an owner in sight! Sure, it felt weird at first but I soon got used to it. The sense of freedom was amazing!

Look, I don't want to spoil the surprise by telling you too much now - you'd be far better off reading my books for yourself - but I will say this...

It's all there... The boredom, the frustration, the light-bulb moments, much sadness, some tears, a steely determination, elation, intense love, depression, drunkenness, 'intimate moments' and a little bit of magic too.
